Will the Biometric ID card solve the problem of Illegal Immigration
Senators of South Carolina and New York presented a blue print of immigration-bill to President Barack Obama which included the proposal to issue biometric Identity Card which will contain physical information such as finger prints to all the working Americans. It is being said that this is going to solve the problem of illegal immigration by helping the employers to know who is eligible to work “If you say [illegal immigrants] can’t get a job when they come here, you’ll stop it,” Schumer told the Wall Street Journal.
In this case, just imagine how many biometric cards would we need to prove that we are eligible and we are not illegal immigrants. We would need more than 150 million cards if everyone is going to get one. Michael Cherry, president of identification-technology company Cherry Biometrics, says the accuracy of such large-scale biometric measuring hasn’t been proved. “What study have we done?” he says. “We just have a few assumptions.”
Every employer should install a card reading machine to recognize everyone…it is going to be one expensive method and we will have to pay for the such cards which is going to cost more than $100 per person. So when we consider all these things it is turning out to be one costly proposal….but we have to see if it is going to be accepted by the President.

Just use the same technique that is used for tamper-proof biometric passports. The cost is very low compared to the cost of the current immigration mess.
You have to hold employers accountable to hire legal aliens. E-verify requires them to verify all non-US citizen employees before hiring. Failure to verify results in fines and or jail. Using a biometric ID still gives the employer deniability; “the card looked good to me, so I hired them”. Not only that, employers will hire illegals without checking ANy documents at all.
What a great idea. We can tag every American under the guise of stopping illegal immigrants.
All this would do is police Americans. Even if illegals were caught the government has never shown any teeth about getting them out of the country or protecting the border.

YES, it will work if get rid of all the illegal aliens in this Country first! ALL OF THEM!
Illegal aliens are destroying this Country, and one would have to be almost blind not to see this. How much longer do we have to support these illegal aliens? How much longer do we have to school their illegal alien children? How much longer are we going to let them have our jobs? How much longer are we going to put up with all the crime, stolen identities, forged documents, fake green cards? How much longer are we going to allow these illegal aliens to send money out of this Country and bring our Country down? Oh, amnesty will correct all this. WRONG! Nothing will change except we wouldn’t be able to call them illegal aliens any more. Let’s get rid of these illegal aliens! Let’s get them back to their own Country where they belong!
I’m from Delaware, and we are pressing to get the Oklahoma State Illegal Immigration Law, HB 1804, passed here in Delaware. Three years ago we had about 32,000 illegal aliens here. Today we have about 68,000 illegal aliens here. We have had it! We want our State back!
