Steam for Mac Debuts Today

The platform created by Valve for the distribution and sale of games is debuting today at the Apple platform, great news for all gamers as via Steam may access a large number of titles.
The offer will be smaller than for the PC, but it’s still good news for Mac OS X.
The announcement comes from Valve, that Steam’s official blog has revealed some details about the Steam platform that will debut today in Mac OS X. Users can access a catalog of games available for purchase and download through the famous facility provided by Steam.
Steam show that every Wednesday will be expanded catalog of titles available, “each designed to highlight specific features of Steam on a Mac.”
Among the salient features will be “Steam Play“, a particularly striking feature that allows users to buy a game only once and can download for various platforms and play it in Windows or Mac OS X, and other platforms supported by Steam the future-without problems.
In conjunction with the launch of Steam’s Steamworks suite will be presented that allows game developers to publish their creations on Steam for distribution through this powerful engine in Internet sales of video games. Now is just waiting for the Linux version, of which there are already indications that point to a presentation is not far away.
