Sinkhole In Guatemala Kills 100
Tropical storm Agatha brought a huge sink hole along with it to the city of Guatemala on 31st of May. Scientific word for this sinkhole is “hundimento”, though these sink holes are very common but this one really appeared very fast and it is so wide that it already swallowed almost 100 people now.
Normally sinkholes start to open very slowly, so people know that there is going to be a hole in particular place. 2010 sinkhole in Guatemala opened up so quickly that officials even could not even get time to warn people about this. One of the main causes for the appearance of these sinkholes is due to bedrock caused by water. Guatemala sinkhole is the hot news in America today.
It is really unbelievable how this can happen just by a tropical storm because it was not a hurricane of something like that. Even heavy waterfall due to storm can’t make such a big hole according to me. Well, it does look scary and looks like a mouth which is wide open to swallow us in no time.
