Russians Say The Nuclear Reactor They Are Building In Iran Is Nearly Ready
Will the Iranians have their nuclear reactor ready soon ? The Russians have admitted to helping them build a nuclear reactor in Bushehr. This comes on the heels of the oft-letter-writing President of Iran sending a recent letter to the President of the United States. The contents of that letter are purportedly a complaint against the “nuclear blackmail” the United States is performing against the nation of Iran.
The nuclear talk scheduled yesterday by President Obama was not conducive to alleviating this situation with the United States, Israel and Iran. The Israeli President is feeling threatened with the purported nuclear abilities of Iran. Iran has been demonstrating its military prowess with displays of more powerful rockets. The situation in Iran is one in which Iran states their nuclear ambitions are only for peaceful purposes. This is in a country that has vast reserves of oil and gas.
Again, the the head of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency said today that Iran has enough centrifuges to build one nuclear bomb within a year. While the Russians are saying the fact of Iran having nuclear technology does not threaten the “regime of nonproliferation”, others have plenty to say about it. Some say that talks with Iran are futile, others believe that if they do obtain nuclear weapons, it will cause war. Still others believe that this whole matter was set up by Israel. August is about four months away, so the world will find out soon.
