Roy Ashburn Confesses He is a Gay!
In what seemed to be shocking news for lawmakers in the US, State Senator of Bakersfield Republican, Roy Ashburn confessed himself to be as gay during a radio interview. The Senator was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving just a week ago, but that news didn’t shook the foundations of the lawmakers after his confession today morning in the show of Inga Banks on KERN Station Bakersfield.
Ashburn allegedly told Banks during the show, “I am gay. And so, those are the words that have been so difficult for me for so long.” And this confession follows after there were tensions regarding the strict scrutiny over his personal life and the episode of arrest over suspicion of drunken driving. And immediately after his arrest a Sacramento Television was quick to air the news that the senator was partying hard that night at a gay bash at a gay dance club and there are witnesses who said that they had seen Ashburn at the gay bar in the city.
Now that is really comic and hypocritical because Ashburn is one of the staunchest followers of morality in society and he is strictly voting against the bills that were debated in the house for rights of gay, bisexual, lesbians and transgender in California. Though Ashburn didn’t confess of his presence at the gay bar that night but he told during a moment that his actions were responsible to make his personal life public.
When asked about his voting record against the rights for gays, lesbians and others, he defended saying he voted because his constituency wanted him to do that. Ashburn said, “I felt my duty, and I still feel this way, is to represent my constituents. I don’t think it’s something that has affected or will affect how I do my job.”

He seemed to be for the Gay community what Clarence Thomas is for the Black community; a sell out.
“but that news didn’t shook the foundations of the lawmaker” didn’t shook? Nice journalism.
Ashburn said, “I felt my duty, and I still feel this way, is to represent my constituents.” As opposed to standing up for what you believe in. Nice politics.
Nice headline. He’s “A Gay?” Maybe you could have said, “one of them,” or how about just calling him a “fag.” That would have been just as tactful.
