Risk Of Fire In iPod Nano
Overheating while charging iPod nano has caused more than 25 fire incidents, and six of them were major accidents where firefighters had to be called. Japan’s industry ministry has ordered Apple to reveal the measures it is going to take regarding these fire accident incidents. An official of Japan’s industry ministry said, “Four people burned themselves after they touched the device, which had overheated during charging.”
Ministry asked Apple again and again to recall the products or give warnings to users but Apple did not take any actions or measures in this matter yet. And an order has been issued by the ministry to Apple on Wednesday. 1.6 million iPod nano devices have been sold in Japan.
Ministry has ordered Apple to report these problems and incidents not only Japan but overseas also. This is not a good time for Apple it seems, at first there was a delay in launching iPhone 4, then the problem of antenna in iPhone 4 which troubled users because of its low signal. And finally, Apple had difficulty in manufacturing white iPhones. After all these incidents, now, iPod nano music player is having problems….will it ever end with Apple?
