Kevin Garn Admits Bribing Cheryl Maher
Leader of the house in Utah County, Kevin Garn, has confessed that he paid a woman almost $150,000 to keep their past relationship a secret. While on an election campaign in 2002, Garn gave the bribe to a lady named Cheryl Maher. The whole of Utah town was buzzing with the word of the bribe administered by Kevin Garn to the young lady. Who is Cheryl Maher and what links had she with Kevin Garn….
Maher used to work in Kevin Garn’s company, the much famous Pegasus Records and KSG Enterprise some 25 years back. The statement was first revealed by the lady herself which later later Mr. Garn admitted was true. She recited her story to, “The Tribune”, that the couple had spent a night together in 1985 and also shared the bath tub with each other.
Maher at that time was too young, just 15 she tells when Garn took her to Salt Lake Cityon. All those years she kept quiet until she got to know that the man was running for the U.S. Congress election. The lady threatened Garn to reveal the past relation to media and the public only if he paid the desired the amount. Garn at that time felt, he would be embarrassed and insulted in front of the public and paid the money quickly to keep her quiet.
Kevin Garn in statement told:
“While this payment felt like extortion, I also felt like I should take her word that the money would help her heal. She agreed to keep this 25-year-old incident confidential. Now that this issue is coming up again, it is apparent to me that this payment was also a mistake.”
