Jeremy Tyler: Experiment Gone Wrong, Out From Maccabi Haifa
U.S. high school basketball star, Jeremy Tyler, has announced to quit the Israeli team Maccabi Haifa and return home. The basketball player was cutting short his trip by two months due to personal reasons and returning to his home city. The 18-year old champion basketball player had left for Israel in August to gain professional experience after he decided to skip Senior year at San Diego High School.
There were certain problems on his end in Israel due to which he left two months before the season ended. Much was not known about his trip but the team owner, Jeffery Rosen stated:
“Due to personal matters, Jeremy chose to leave the team on his own will on March 18 and return home to San Diego. We wish Jeremy all the best.”
Tyler was earning a salary of $140,000 found it tough to claim a space in Maccabi Haifa’s starting lineup. According to a record provided by the team manager, Tyler who player 10 games for Haifa averaged 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 7.6 minutes.
A protest was also recorded by him last month when walked out on the team at halftime for not getting more minutes on the court. Even in the last three games the professional player was seen not wearing his uniform while pictured sitting on the bench.
According to Jeremy’s Agent:
“This year was transition year for Jeremy, showing amount of work needed. Haifa was great to him. [Jeremy] didn’t fully understand everything required of him going in. Worked really hard last 3-4 months. [But he is] better for the experience.”
