Identity Of The $1 Million Powerball Winner Still Unknown
The $1 million Powerball winner was not yet able to claim his prize as of Wednesday. At the store where the winner bought the winning ticket, people were curious.
The ticket was sold at Price’s Minute Market. According to the lottery officials, the winner purchased an extra dollar for the Power Play. Because of that, the ticket is worth $1 million.
The store’s manager Imran Naseer said he has no idea who the winner is. He added that he was excited that the winning ticket he sold came from his store. Imran’s wife, Sobia Tariq was not able to believe the news at first. It was surprising.
When people knew that the winning ticket came from Imran’s store, there were new people coming to their store to purchase tickets. The people were thinking they could also win the lottery if they will purchase the ticket from their store.
The spokesman of the Virginia Lottery, John Hagerty said that if it is a very large prize, the winner would take time to claim it. The winner would meet advisers and financial planners to discuss further on how to deal with the prize before claiming it.
The winner and the lottery officials will be setting up an appointment for the presentation of the funds.
