The movie was ahead of its time as it shows what the networks consider "compelling entertainment" i.e. mindless reality shows with people making fools of themselves or whining about this, that & the next thing only the movie went off the deep end. Unfortunately, it appaers that's where we're headed. The networks need to stop "dumbing down" televison and keep quality, thought provoking programs like FF on air. I agree with other posts that TV has become such a wasteland. I find myself watching reruns of classics because I don't want to waste my time on anything new because it probably won't be there long. Stop listening to the critics and start listening to the entire tv viewing public before axing a show!! Every Thursday night, no matter how busy we were, we would take that one hour to sit down together and watch the show. If it weren't for this, the show would have probably been continued. ABC's should have taken this into consideration when they had decided to cancel it and give the show a second chance in a normal year (not interrupted by other events). I turely hope all of the above come back or continue ! i started watching another show blood and stone spartans, now thats being canceled or delayed ! instead of continueing with the story they show script writers are considering writing a new stary before spartans what the £*&!? is going on ? make programe stick to it until the end ! easy !
