Google Ranks ‘Facebook’ As The Most Visited Website On The Web

In a latest announcement, the internet search giant, Google, revealed a list of 1000-most visited sites on the web. After the latest findings, Google has classed Facebook as the most visited site on the web, overpowering Yahoo. Google ranks websites, around the world, based on unique visitors compared to the Page Views. Facebook registered more than 540 million unique visitors on its website in April while also achieving a gross of 35% of all Web Users.

Facebook.com was targeted by users while results also revealing a figure of somewhat 570 Billion page views in April alone. One thing, on which I remained confused was that Google and YouTube ranking and figures missed the list. On first I thought Google was not displaying results of Search Engines but upon seeing Yahoo is the second most visited site, it kept me confused and wondering.

Yahoo registered a handsome amount of unique visitors with figures stating, 490 Million while the gross page views were displayed at 70 Billion. The third place was taken up by none other than Live.com which is powered by Microsoft and the figures detailed 370 Million unique visitors while serving 39 Billion Page views.

Search Engine Baidu was also seen on the list which is China’s most widespread and accessed webpage. Baidu came on eighth spot with 230 Million unique visitors and 27 Billion page views.
