Frank Frazetta Rest in Peace

Throughout the afternoon, jumped into the news network as a rumor that the legendary artist Frank Frazetta was dead. Finally, it has been confirmed by his agent, Robert Pistella. The octogenarian artist died of a stroke in a hospital near his home after being hospitalized yesterday.
Frazetta was born in Brooklyn in 1928 and began his career in comics in the 40s, the decade he worked with people like Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon. His legend begin to take shape thanks to his work for EC Comics publisher and for his contributions to magazines such as ‘Creepy’, ‘Eerie’ and ‘Vampirella‘, first in the form of short stories, mostly horror, then with stunning covers .
Frazetta out for its absolute mastery of color, anatomy, composition, and also for the wonderful and terrifying creatures that populated their artwork, or beautiful women emerging from their pens. One of the most influential illustrators of the last decades, whose contributions to the genres of heroic fantasy and science fiction are hard to beat. Rest in peace.
