Apple announced the first day iPad sales and it managed to sell over 300,000 units of its new device iPad on 3 April, the first day that the tablet was awaited for sale, according to the US-led multinational Steve Jobs, who reported that the first day, and users downloaded more than 250,000 books and about a million applications.

The company said that these figures include both sales at Apple stores, like those made by other sales channels and customer bookings through the Interne, booked online.

Users of this new product downloaded also the same day, over one million applications and nearly 250,000 books, making the iPad, as anticipated by experts, a great competitor for readers of books already in the market.

The iPad “will be a product that will change the market,” he said in a statement the founder and CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, after showing his satisfaction at the launch of the new tablet, which on Saturday hit stores U.S. but only in its Wi-Fi.

The 3G version is not available until later this month.

Apple has confirmed that the two versions of its new flagship will be available in Spain, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Canada and Australia in late April and will be known when the rest of the world.
