Earthquake Hits Chile
Just after the tragic earthquake hit Haiti another brutal earthquake hit Chile. The magnitude of the quake was measured as 8.3 by the United States Geological survey. It struck a little ways away from the capital of Chile, causing people to evacuate their buildings and find each other on the streets. Everyone was hugging and crying while the building surrounding them began to shake furiously. The shaking last between 10 to 30 seconds, which seemed like forever to the victims.
After the United state Geological Survey assessed the situation and outcome, they issued a tsunami warning for sections of Chile and also Peru. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has put in place the warning and also put in place a tsunami watch for Ecuador.
Everyone seems a little uneasy about the earthquake, only because we are just getting over the after math of the earthquake that resulted in Haiti. This earthquake seems like it caused a lot less damage and seems like the citizens will be alright along with most of their surroundings. The only thing to be really looking out for with this after-math is any tsunami that might possibly be forming, since that is what will cause the most damage if something were to go wrong.

These earthquakes are just heart breaking! All these people losing so much. It’s just so sad…
