The fraternity of celebrities has reacted to the death of yesteryear’s child artist Corey Haim through their tweeting. The Canadian born actor was found dead in California and the Coroner’s Office declared that the actor died around 5:00 am on Wednesday and didn’t give any details on the reason of the death. The autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.

Early reports that were buzzed around suggested that the actor perhaps died of drug overdose. But the police didn’t claim any such reason and said that it was too early to draw conclusions on the subject and cannot be said anything related to the death of the actor.

It is said that before his death Haim had flu like symptoms and he was taking prescription drugs as well as over the counter medicines. Police Sgt. William Mann said that such things have been confirmed and the cause of death is still not known. Sgt. Mann said, “He could have succumbed to whatever (illness) he had or it could have been drugs. Who knows? He has had a drug problem in the past.”

The death of the actor is also stated in the official website of Haim where it is written, “It is with heavy heart that I report that Corey Ian Haim has passed away today.” And the message accompanies a photo of the actor in black.  According to TMZ.com the actor was found in unresponsive state in his mother’s Oakwood apartment during early hours on Wednesday and his death was declared at St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, California.

As soon as the news of Haim broke, the celebrities paid their condolences via their Twitter account and there are many big names from Hollywood that tweeted about the actor’s tragic passing.
