Bret Michaels’ Big Comeback
Bret Michaels, 47 year old rocker, will make his first TV appearance after suffering a brain hemorrhage, on Wednesday’s episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show”. His rep also stated that he was planning to attend the live “Celebrity Apprentice” finale on May 23. It is also confirmed that Michaels aims to be back on the road to continue his Roses and Thorns Tour in time for his show at Hard Rock in Biloxi, Mississippi on May 28. He will also be kicking off a tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd in June at Florida.
Michaels, the front man of glam rock band Poison, who suffered a nearly fatal subarachnoid brain hemorrhage last month (twenty days after he underwent an emergency appendectomy), was discharged from Phoenix hospital last May 4 and had been undergoing physical therapy twice a day. Donald Trump, the Apprentice host, said “We really hope that Bret is well and able to join us at the finale. I have much respect as he is a fighter and strong competitor.” The competition show was filmed prior to Michael’s medical emergencies however is nearing the climax of its broadcast run, with the singer still in the running to win.
Bret Michaels’ latest album “Custom Built” includes a track with teen singer Miley Cyrus, is due for release on June 8, 2010.
