Apple announces it New Voice Technology
On Wednesday, Apple remained its movement to Google’s turf with the acquirement of Siri. Siri is a certain mobile application which lets users to function on Web searches via voice command through a cellphone.
Siri is start-up from San Jose, California that illustrates itself as a certain virtual personal assistant intended for iPhone and iPod Touch.
Steve Dowling, an apple spokesman, refused to mention anything on details of Siri deal. He conveyed, “Apple buys smaller companies from time to time but doesn’t state any of the products or plans”.
Norman Winarsky , the vice president of the licensing and the strategic programs at the SRI International, the research lab which had contributed to develop the application, has verified the sale but repudiated to reveal any financial information of the business. Mr. Winarsky explained that sale of Siri that was announced as mobile app in the February was “a great event for us in terms of our impact on the world.”
