Last week, Sony Corp. unveiled the latest in technology by introducing the 3-D Television in Tokyo,Japan. Even though it launched the product in Japan, the company plans to introduce the product in America somewhere in June while Samsung and Panasonic plan to gear up and start selling 3D sets this month. Samsung 3D and Panasonic 3D are here to rock your home cinema.

The Korean TV maker, Samsung and Panasonic have finalized all plans to start selling the 3-D TVs in U.S stores from this month. The era of 3-D viewing has arrived and now everyone can start setting their living room in that way. On the othe hand, from our view we think it might take some time for the 3-D sets to capture the market as it require special glasses and also little to watch, this technology might take a few years to capture the TV market.

Samsung Electronics also announced that it has launched a package which consists of:

  • 46-inch 3-D set
  • Two Pair Of 3-D Glasses and a;
  • 3-D Blu-ray Player and a free movie
    for only $3,000

While on the other hand, Panasonic Corp., did not reveal much as the sets will hit the market in the next few days. The latest trend is made as moviegoers have shown much interests in the latest wave of 3-D movies in the theaters. Two movies which include: Alice In Wonderland and Avatar have made their market claiming to be the 3-D blockbusters.

Only one challenge remains with the technology, that being, wearing 3-D glasses which are battery operated and need to be recharged occasionally. While wearing 3-D glasses different household devices such as computer screens may flicker. Get the best LCD TV on your home theater available at Shopping.com.

On the other hand ESPN announced that it has plans to launch a 3-D channel to broadcast live events using the technology such as  the upcoming FIFA World Cup Soccer in June.
